Darryl Jinkerson

Darryl Jinkerson met Cindy Madden in the freshman registration line at Harding College in 1976. They were married in August of 1979 and both graduated from Harding University in 1980. Darryl received his Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Northeast Louisiana University in 1982 and his Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology in 1985 from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. They moved to Chicago in 1985 and lived there for 17 years while Darryl worked for Arthur Andersen. Darryl served as an elder for the West Chicago Church of Christ from 1999 until 2002 when they moved to Abilene. Darryl also served as an elder for the Hwy 36 Church of Christ in Abilene from 2003 to 2004. Cindy has degrees in Elementary and Special Education and has taught school for nearly 20 years.

The Jinkerson’s have three daughters – Whitney and Amanda are married and Rachel will attend Psychology Graduate School in the fall at ACU. Darryl is an Associate Professor of Management Sciences at Abilene Christian and the SIFE advisor. He is active in his professional organizations serving as a reviewer of a number of journals and conferences. Cindy was recently promoted from 1st grade teacher to Elementary Principal at Abilene Christian Schools.

Darryl has been very active with the youth group at UCC and has served on the Youth Committee. He has been very involved in international missions especially to Honduras where he has worked with a number of missionaries there building houses and meeting the needs of the poor. Darryl is an active leader in their small group and regularly teaches adult bible classes on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.
