Rainbow Bible School

Rainbow Bible School was begun more than 30 years ago as a UCC Mother’s Day Out program. Over the years, RBS has grown into its own non-profit entity to meet the needs of the Abilene community and is now a licensed, full-time child development center focused on giving children a safe place to play and learn. RBS is still located on our UCC campus.  We accept students ages 4 weeks thru pre-K. RBS uses a Karen Henley curriculum and offers daily chapel and Bible lessons, as well as music and Spanish classes, and learning centers designed for purposeful play.

RBS is one of few child development centers in Abilene that offers both part-time and full-time enrollment. RBS has roughly 140 students with 40 staff and 13 classrooms and promises lower staff-to-child ratios than the state minimum standards.
