UCC Family,
Over the last several months it has been a blessing to be able to worship together either in person or virtually. In the midst of a world-wide pandemic, we have found ways to stay connected and engaged with each other. We have supported our local community by following all health and safety protocols with in-person gatherings and activities. Your spirit of love and care has been more than evident in the midst of these unusual times.
As you may be aware, Abilene is at a critical juncture as it experiences an exponential rise of COVID-19 cases. The local hospitals have no open ICU beds and are without additional capacity. Our medical community has called on all community leaders to urgently consider additional measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We want to do our part in reducing the spread and will therefore suspend live worship this Sunday, November 22nd and next Sunday, November 29th. Worship will be live-streamed each of these two Sundays. We appreciate your engagement in whatever format we choose to worship and your willingness to stay connected with the UCC family in these most interesting times. Please do not hesitate to call the church or one of the elders if you need anything, including supplies for communion on Sunday.
