On Wednesday, Oct. 12, anyone who wants to participate is invited to join us in a series of neighborhood outreaches we’re calling Cross+Walks. These will be simple opportunities to walk our surrounding streets, learn more about the Hill, pray for those in the shadow of our building, and begin forming relationships with our neighbors. In other words, a chance to put our faith and talk into action.

We will gather in the MAC at 6:00 p.m. each week for a few minutes of basic coaching and encouragement. Then we will fan out into the neighborhood in small groups. Our goals: To pray, observe, learn, and perhaps meet some of the people who live around us. We will gather after each Cross+Walk and share a few minutes of debrief and reflection about what happened. We will also put flyers on doors advertising our upcoming activities to which we are inviting our neighbors.

If you are interested, all you have to do is show up and try it. No pressure. Anyone is welcome to join us. If you can’t walk, you can support those who do with prayer. In the spirit of Luke 10:1-24, we believe there’s just no telling what might happen when Jesus sends his servants out!
